This class will explore using armatures – glass jars and wire – to create a dramatic piece. Emphasis is on design and composition, creating movement with dangles of beads, adding beaded embellishments, and of course use of armatures to create dimensional sculpture. The project walks through every step with lots of pictures, clear instructions and a nice helping of humor to keep it all fun! We'll play with color mixing, creating armatures, sculpting techniques and adding the embellishments to the clay and branch dangles. This class is suitable for all skill levels.
